About

Betsy Ore Glass is a native of Virginia /beach, VA and also considered her second home, the North Carolina Outer Banks. As a child, her family owned an oceanfront cottage and that is where the love of all things coastal developed. A simpler timie with no phone, no television and maybe the occasional outdated newspaper. Childhood play and discovery was at its best and the simplicity of those days are etched in her heart. Later, Betsy began contributing photographs to several coastal North Carolina newspapers. Her photography was useful in documenting Hurricane Isabel's devastation on the East Coast and caught the attention of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the North Carolina Sea Grant Association. For Betsy, taking photographs of any beach is pure joy, particularly if it includes old-style cottages and sand fences. The photography led to wanting to do more. With brush in hand, Betsy attempted oil paiinting and discovered a new passion. Now living on the west coast of Florida, the passion is full time and with much help along the way of fine teachers and art friends, she is happy to share her work with you. If there is a light within this passion, it is a desire to give God all the glory for any talents and gifts that have been given. Bringing joy to others with the expression of art is a privilege.. Thank you for stopping by.
